About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide senior-level executive leadership in the areas of information technology and library services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the information resources organization, ensuring that strategic and operational planning aligns with the institution's mission and vision. This includes overseeing security, business intelligence, development and support, education, infrastructure, and technical and library services. The CIO will also be tasked with maintaining an efficient organizational structure, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and leading the development and oversight of budgetary planning to promote the security, innovation, and growth of the university's information resources and technology services. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of ten years of professional experience in a complex IT environment, with a proven track record of leadership and supervision. The role requires experience in developing and executing strategic IT plans, leading major change initiatives, and successful project management. The ideal candidate will have a background in higher education, experience working with diverse communities, and a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within a university setting. The CIO will be expected to maintain clear and consistent communication, manage external vendor contracts, and serve on various university committees and professional associations.
