Schedule: Monday - Friday (in-person), 40 hours a week. Flexibility to work shifts between 7:00am - 7:00pm is needed. Travel: Travel to Boston, Brookline, and Jamaica Plain is required (all locations accessible by public transportation). Benefits: Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 for full-time roles (taxes/terms apply). This role is ideal for those interested in starting a career in healthcare and learning about various medical specialties. The Float Pool offers exposure to different departments at our Harvard teaching pediatric hospital in an administrative/customer service capacity. After successful training, the Patient Experience Representative/Patient Access (Float pool) will work in ambulatory clinics, telephone operations, and/or the practice liaison program, providing administrative and customer service support. Responsibilities include: Customer Service: Demonstrate positive customer service supporting operations, patients, and families. Respond to inquiries, greet and direct visitors, and rotate in departments with call centers. Patient Registration/Admissions/Discharge: Collect patient information, prepare examination rooms, record demographics and insurance details, process payments, and secure necessary authorizations. Scheduling: Coordinate patient encounters and procedures, monitor schedules, and communicate with staff to ensure efficient patient flow. Administration: Handle calls, schedule meetings, organize events, and support clerical tasks, including medical records management. Technology: Use office and clinical applications, enroll patients in portals, and utilize communication tools effectively. Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma / GED required.
