Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a prestigious national law firm to identify a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their finance department. This firm is known for its excellence in legal services and is looking to expand its AR team to support high-volume cash operations and trust account management.

This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in AR, cash receipts, and internal collaboration-especially in a professional services or legal setting. It's a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential, including the possibility of stepping into a leadership role.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities

• Handle daily high-volume incoming payments (wires, lockbox, ACH, etc.)

• Post cash receipts ranging from $1M-$3M/day across multiple transactions

• Manage multiple trust and operating accounts with strict compliance and attention to detail

• Generate daily and next-day cash position summaries in Excel

• Process credit card fees and initiate inter-account bank transfers via payment portal

• Collaborate closely with billers, legal assistants, attorneys, and the collections team

• Support the 3-person AR team and firm-wide accounting operations

• Maintain accurate financial records without involvement in billing or collections

Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting preferred

• 2-3 years of relevant AR or cash operations experience

• Experience in legal or professional services environments preferred

• Strong Excel skills required (e.g., formulas, summaries, formatting)

• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy

• Excellent communication skills for internal coordination (minimal client interaction)
